So, I basically just did this all in one go, I do not feel like writing multiple devlogs. Long story short, this is just the Readme.
It is, in essence, a simple system to pull bus stop API and display arrival times, bussesEssentially, idea came when me and a friend were talking about how the nearby shopping mall has a nice display for bus arrival times. During that moment, I remembered I sorta kinda know python and knew HTML+CSS before, so I may as well take a crack at it. Turns out the Python, HTML and CSS portions were by far the most simple, and I learned a few new things along the way. So far, it only displays the arrival and bus times of a random stop in Lithuania, but it can be quite easily adapted for more serious use cases.If anyone were to use it, feel free to change the location, it works anyway and the API is fully free.
The JavaScript code was (unfortunately) generated using a Large Language Model - Gemini 3.1 Pro to be exact, everything else (HTML, CSS, Python) is mine. I do not claim any understanding of this code, nor do I claim to be able to maintain it if something were to change. I have a relatively basic understanding of JavaScript and seek to improve it as time goes on. I am personally against vibe-coding, as it does not teach you, nor is it useful in production cases, however for such a simple project I did not have the patience to piece it together entirely, as I am currently working on learning C++ in private. I will learn it in the future, however.
