Rate my professor added to courses

One of the most useful parts of APSwiftly is its logging system. APStudy has a Discord community with contributors, volunteers, and students, so being able to understand what changed in the server helps me and the staff manage it.

Message edits are a good example of how the system works (see screenshot) and prevents bad actors from being… bad.

All configuration happens inside Discord, too! Through dropdowns, channel selectors, and buttons.

So many new features have been released since my last devlog that I forgot which was when. So for this devlog, I’ll announce a new solar system inspired progress bar where each ring represents a class. Each class orbits around a golden egg.

Added a new orbital progress “bar” option that you can move around in 3d.
I’m really happy with how it turned out.

Genuinely spent 2 hours on improving this 😭

Any design suggestions?
I went with a compact streak button in the same line as the To-Do List instead of a large section above it to give more screen space to the assignments list.

The large center is an egg surrounded by fire (because the extension is built under Nest.APStudy. So nests –> eggs)

The motivational message also has a fun easter egg: one exclamation mark is rare and two exclamation mark messages are ultra rare. Just something to look forward to everyday.

Still doesn’t look quite there yet, but more design UI will go into this including graphs and previous assignment history and how it affects your overall course grade.

Improvement on the design! What do we think?
Better rainbow, better sidebar, better assignment details, better streak, better due list, etc.

Working on moving the 4 pages (Grades, Planner, Notes, and Study) to the popup UI and making it look nice.

Settings design update! Went with an ios settings design

Looking better now! Now time to get some features to actually work properly (ie the 4 extension added pages)

Heavily touched up that todo section & card appearance. Still got lots of issues to work on.As for new features, I’m working on adding canvas search, grade analytics, dashboard notes, local themes, planner tasks, and a better sidebar.Given that this project was initially a fork of CanvasRefined (though it has diverged by a large amount), I’m working on adding the new features/bug fixes to this extension as well.

AYYY its coming together! The cards are now loading properly, the settings actually controls stuff, and the rings are coming together. Though, I can’t seem to figure out how to hide courses without active assignments from the ring design.

After I finish all the UI changes I can think of, I’ll go through and completely revamp the settings popup (it’s mad ugly right now).

I may have broken the todo list section… But I’m still working on it and improving the design. I going for a rainbow style layout with a 3 column toggle for assignments and announcements

The calendar is currently still off, but I’m almost done with a fix by utilizing timezones properly. The status of each class isn’t completely accurate right now, but it should come together soon!

I’m working on improving the calendar UI and adding .ics share features. It’s a long process, but I’m almost there for production release. The goal is to allow for .ics calendar link creation for simulated courses.
