PXLSWRV is a Swerve Drive module powered by REV-A301 Motors. Swerve Drive is also called an independent wheel steering system. It works by having 2 independent motors for steering and driving.
Overall, the most challenging part during this project was figuring out how to package everything into a small form factor. The reason I wanted a small form factor was so it could actually have an advantage over other compact holonomic drivetrain systems (i.e. mecanum).
I think the thing I’m most proud of (and the significance of the project) was that I failed numerous times to design a swerve drive in the past 2 years. This was my 3rd attempt at a swerve drive and I was able to learn so much about coaxial effects, packaging, and what it takes to create a clean design.
All the parts used in this project are in the CAD Link, accessible through the ReadMe in the source code or accessed through the Try Project button. Unfortunately, this project will not be able to be built as of 6/9/26 due to the REV-A301 Motor being officially released in 2027.
Thank you for taking interest in my project!
