Retrospective

It has been nice returning to express.js. I feel React and other modern web development tools are useful but are also cumbersome for many projects. I overall have enjoyed my experience with this “older” tool-chain. It has taken away a lot of the unnecessary abstraction I have seen through react. It has also let me look into accessibility way more so my website can be as accessible as possible!

Reasoning

When I started work on Termsite I was ready to delete a lot of the project structure from my personal website as Termsite rebuilt that functionality in a even better way. I just ended up deleting everything and starting again from scratch lol, but I like this web concept way more overall!

Added persistent env that can be used to store values between commands.

Commands

• ls: created, a command to see the files in your current directory
• cat: created, a command to look at the contents of a file
• cd: created, a command to change your directory
• theme: created, a command to change your theme to one of the valid themes
• help: improved, added new commands to help

Created a fake web terminal interface with each command running without state. Created the following
test commands : help , startup, error. The error command is used when a command is not found. The
startup command is ran on start and can be used to output usage information and setup state (when
that is implemented). The help command outputs help information on all commands.
