Crunchyroll Audio Helper Extension
Crunchy Audio Helper v0.3.0 ship
-
In this ship, I fixed a extension error with Crunchyroll’s latest update, and also re-introduced compatibility with the Croptix extension!
-
Crunchy update
Previously, the extension relies on calling/accessing obfuscated keys on Crunchyroll webpage internals. Since those keys are subject change whenever the compiler feels like it, I had to switch to a scanning based system to search for the key name rather than hard coding them.

Croptix V2
Recently, Croptix released version 2.0. Unfortunately, the author decided to force the video player to use the Shaka media engine instead of the default Bitmovin on vanilla Crunchy, which means it broke my extension. (And then the author left my PR to revert that hanging for like a week, only to close it)
-
Well, unfortunately, that meant I had to dig into the webpacked code once again. The thing with Shaka is that their developers decided to obfuscated the living hell out of their code… So I couldn’t just swap the API calls that the extension had been using……..
-
Welp, it is what it is… at least it’s compatible once more.
