Finished the PCB and Schematics I know I hadn’t been posting a dev-log in a while, but I had been working on the PCB and schematics. Since this was my first PCB design in Ki-Cad, when I finished the designing part, I found out that I had more than 100 errors LOL. Most of them were caused by some footprint errors and me being a complete newbie with the software. So… I re-did it T_T. But now, I have managed to blip the errors out of existence LOL, and I have made the PCB look more futuristic rather than something you would find in an average college project. I am doing the modelling part now, which tbh I think is the most crucial yet simple part of this project. I am too excited to see the end product ;)

PCB designing : I managed to complete the designing of the PCB. I made quite a lot of mistakes and had to redo it multiple times(I accidentally wired the diodes in reverse bias lol). I also tried to make the cable management better and make it more compact. Nevertheless, I learnt quite a lot throughout the process. There are still some errors in the PCB files which I plan to resolve very soon. P.S. Routing the PCB tracers is oddly satisfying :)

Cyberpunk Themed Macro-pad: I started working on the PCB for my cyberpunk-themed macro-pad. I experimented with multiple layouts before selecting one. As this is my first time designing a PCB using a proper software rather than making rough sketches of circuits, it took quite a while to familiarize myself with the software. There is still a lot of work to be done but I already like where it’s going and I can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end :3

Schematics for the Cyberpunk-style Macro-pad I designed the schematics for my Cyberpunk-style Macro-pad. The hardware is built around a Seeduino Xiao, 6 Keys, a rotary encoder, RGB lighting and an OLED panel. The hardware part is relatively straightforward so I intend to make it more unique during the design and coding stages; especially through the overall Cyberpunk-style aesthetic. This is my first dev-log of this project. I can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end :)
