I can’t believe I have to put this but people always seem to think my writing is AI lol, it isn’t, I wrote this all myself!!

The Pitch:
Do you like listening to music? - Most likely.
Do you wanna make music?? - Surely.
Want some free and open source software for your music desires? Then you need InstroSoft! My fully custom music creation software designed for InstroPad(1) but perfect for anyone!

The Features:
Drag and drop file capabilities - drag any sound file onto the pads and play it to your hearts content!
Volume slider - hmm I wonder what that does…
Play with your keyboard - you can trigger the pads using your numpad or top row number keys!
Designed for InstroPad(1) - works seamlessly with InstroPad

How to use me:

  1. Drag your sound files onto the pads to assign them
  2. Grab a PC keyboard
  3. Use said keyboard to trigger the the keys or use your mouse - why?
    4 .Make some fire beats

InstroSoft is now shippable! It has all of the core features required for basic drum machine utility! I have added a volume slider as well as animations when you use the pads. More features coming in the future but I’ve gotta ship this! :prayer:

I’ve created the initial and most basic implementation of InstroSoft allowing the user to drag and drop sound files onto pads and play them using their mouse. I have decided to use PyQt6 as I wanted to learn another Python GUI tool and this seems to be the most in depth as well as being the best for dragging and dropping files. InstroSoft is designed to interface with InstroPad(1) and will be the primary software to make music with it, however, I want to make it a standalone piece of software too allowing anyone to control it with nothing but a mouse and a numpad. I’m excited to keep going! :3-blahaj-spinning:
