I added the first hardware project to the page, I choose to use a different layout for this page cuz when we talk about hardware its very hard to someone to test it out so you have to write more about it than u do on software projects(where u can even put a “give it a try” link)

NEWs

  • Added a full new minigame called board driving

Changes

  • SFX bugs were fixed(hopefully)

Troubles

  • Actually none(weird)

In depth
The new minigame was pretty simple to code, there is a node with a code that spaw the cars prefabs after a node timer hits zero, the car prefab is just the math for set it’s velocity and going down and the skate board is a simple area 2D that checks if the player hit something(AKA car) and plays the sfx and shows the explosion sprite.

I fixed most of the performance issues. How? I just convert the images to webp and added lazy loading to the page, also I discorvered that when I go to the PageSpeed Insights from google it gives the site a low performance status (problably) because github pages dont have image compression and other nerd performance things

The image below is a screen shot of the same test from google but running the local index.html file

What did I make:
I built a website portifolio-like to show some of my projects, skills and achievements and show a little bit of me

What was challenging:
Ngl the CSS was so hard for some reason I just waste so much time trying to centralize things, also had a hard time with de design (u can see it lol)

What I proud of:
I proud of everthing actually. I learned a lot by making this project and I plan on adding new things like photos I took and really liked and musics I listen to

Meet the Zezzits: tiny virtual creatures on a mission to survive in a cruel world. I built this project to visualize how evolution actually works. Zezzits have two core stats: Vision (how far they can see) and Speed (how fast they can move). To survive, they only need two things: food and water.

When two Zezzits are well-fed, they reproduce. The newborn inherits a blend of its parents stats and colors (a red and a blue parent will spawn a purple baby), but with a twist, a random genetic mutation. This mutation slightly alters their stats, which can eventually result in a faster, better-adapted species over time.

I solved some bugs like they going back and forth on the bushes and not finding food.

Added:
-Lakes(now they need to drink to survive)
-Energy(Moving faster will make them need food sooner)

I’m working on making this UI less boring, but I’m fresh out of ideas. I’d appreciate any concrete design tweaks to make it less boring LOL

Built 5-second panic was a really fun experience where I learned a lot(mainly about Godot which is awsome) I hope u guys enjoy the game, I very proud with all four minigames, my favourites are:
Smash the Mosquito, Unclog the Toilet and Smash Squash

About the art I tried to make it look a bit funky, funny and exaggerated but I not so good at drawing

IMPORTANT: the songs are not mine I got them on opengameart.org it was made by SubspaceAudio heres is the link: https://opengameart.org/content/4-chiptunes-adventure

My record is 63 points try to beat it and have fun

Chosen Design

After careful consideration, I chose the aggressive vertical front spinner as my final design. I have moderate to extensive experience in Onshape, so i used that to begin designing. Before beginning to design, i found STEP files for N20 motors and used the dimensions from my planning stage to place in the electronic components. Then i began with a roughly shaped sketch of the design, which i extruded to the desired length. Then I shelled it out with a 2mm wall to allow space for the electronics.

Weapon design

My weapon blade design is based off James KIrby’s D.E.S blade. The weapon support struts are extremely thick as many bots have lost their weapons due to broken struts. The weapon uses a BE1806 motor and a 20Ah ESC to drive it. The weapon unfortunately was not big enough to house the motor, so adjustments had to be made to allow a larger weapon.

Feedback and Re-iteration

An extremely helpful individual from the university provided me extensive feedback upon the design, which significantly improved my design and allowed my robot to remain under the weight category. Thank you!

Specific Design modifications through feedback;

  • Changed Malenki nano orientation to vertical just behind weapon
  • Allowed the wheels to protrude slighly from the back so the bot doesnt get stuck on its back
  • Smaller chassis for lesser weight (Removed unecessary space)
  • Added Mounts for screw switch and LED

If you made it this far, thank you for reading! If you have any suggestions for my bot, I’m always willing to improve, so please tell me in the comments below. Thanks!

Final Design is attached below along with a wiring diagram (It should be unless theres something else to fix)

P.s there’s a cover on the bot, i just dont have it visible in the renders

5-Second Panic is a high-tempo, WarioWare-inspired arcade microgame built using Godot 4. Players are thrown into a rapid-fire sequence of randomized 5-second challenges with zero instructions.

What I built:

3 Distinct Microgames: Precision swatting (Smash the Mosquito), vertical dragging (Unclog the Toilet), and multi-target clicking (Bomb Squad).

Adaptive Audio Engine: Dynamic track switching between the main menu, gameplay and the game over screen using AudioStreamSynchronized to dont cutting music abruptly.

Non-Repeating Randomizer: Custom logic built into a Global variable to dont repeate the previous minigame.

What I learned:
This was my first project using Godot Engine! So I learned how to move around Godot’s UI, node tree workflow(idk if i liked it lol), scene management, and web/HTML5 export quirks (like case-sensitive file paths and audio looping).

Now with the win screen when you win a minigame
Also a basic setting scene(withou any settings to change lol)
