A personal website to document myself and my projects.

Ship #2

I improved my personal website by adding a dashboard page complete with my discord presence activity (chatgibbidy helped), the weather of my city, my school year countdown and finally some things that i like. I also worked on some other parts of the website like clocks on the dashboard and main page.

Finished working on the dashboard. Includes weather from Open Météo. And discord presence from lanyard. This is still a WIP as you can see from the coming soon tiles. GPT my savior for the discord implementation 🙏

I added a simple clock that hovers above the main body. It only displays Ottawa time. While making this i realized that Ottawa is spelt pretty weirdly.. Also i started working on a seperate page with a dashboard with like weather and stuff.

I made a personal website using HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript. It includes an introduction, a projects section, contact information, a custom cursor, and custom styling. I built the site to practice web development and create a place where I can show some of the projects I have worked on.

I finally completed the projects page i had mentionned in my first devlog. I started by making the main page container and adding the “Projects” title and back button. Then I made a grid for the project cards so they could sit in two rows. Each project has a title, description and an image to go along with it. I used css styling to add the rounded look to everything.

I added a custom cursor to the website using CSS and JavaScript. The normal mouse cursor is hidden and replaced with a small circle that follows the mouse.
The cursor gets bigger when hovering over links. When hovering over text, it changes into a small vertical line like a normal text selector. I used JavaScript to track the mouse position and CSS classes to change how the cursor looks depending on what the mouse is over.

I made this website using HTML and CSS.I started with a simple dark background and added a picture of Ottawa (Parliament Hill) in the background. I made the picture grayscale and faded it so it doesnt interfere with the page. I made a profile box using CSS with rounded corners and a border. I used flexbox to put my picture beside my information. This is still pretty simple, but i want to keep it that way, i like it. I also Started working on a page displaying projects with a similar styling.
