Drone Controller Devlog #15. IT WORKS. After asking around someone out of the city i brought my “Controller” and he had all the answers. Haha aswell as he told me that pin 9,10 and 11 are all flashing pins that i can not use so well thats cool they are 1 led and 2 switches so ill have to figure out something for that. Drone Controller Devlog #14. Last past days ive been trying to flash on the code with many people aswell as ai assiting me but it wont work as of now. I will try again tomorrow with different people which said they could prob fix it but if they cant idk what to do.

Drone Controller Devlog #13. Its working!. Its not complett yet but ive soldered everything i could so far on. Its my second time soldering at home and i think i did a good enough job. (Btw the LED on means that its connected). Solding get really fun when its hard even solding the simplest parts is fun for me but im still yet not that good so if you have advise or things i should get for solding im always open.

Drone Controller Daedalus v1 Devlog #12. The PCB is finally here and i can start soldering it all. When i look at the esp32e and the 16 pin usb c i dont think ill do this first try but i hope i wont just break it.

Devlog #11 Drone Controller Daedalus v1. I Forgot i had to make a .csv too not just a normal file. I added supports to the CAD design to hold the Joysticks -made the holes for the LEDs and Potentiometer bigger since i forgot that the plastic stretches and gave the joysticks overall more room. Made the BOM with all the links and everything needed. Forgot that i needed a different footprint for the ams and only changed it now i should have done it when i made the schematic but well. Was fun finally doing something again i didnt have much time latly since there was a birthday and a wedding.

Devlog #10 Drone Controller Daedalus v1. I fixed the prototype print by asking some people how I should improve it. They said to also make them less long. I explained that I wanted it like that, but ultimately gave in and just shortened them instead of making them infinitely wider. Its going slow latly since stuff is getting shipped very slow and im still waiting for approvel.

Devlog #9 Printing the prototypes and fixing the cad. Today i printed the prototypes which to very long and fixed the cad so i couldnt really do anything since the prototype before this didnt print well at all i had to wait very long so today i couldnt really do much. Devlog #8 Drone Controller Deadalus v1: Improving / Fixing my CAD Design. Today i added poles to the Bottom of the Case so you can slide the Top of the Case right on with a 0.20 mm Tolerance. Fixed the spacing everywhere and also fixed the Github ny sorting it better.

Devlog #7 Drone Controller Daedalus v1: Today i looked at the 3D Model and fixed a few things i relised it had lots of flaws and i will fix them soon. Thought of a name and fixed abit of the code.

Devlog Drone Controller Day 5: BEST DAY. Got the firmware setup done today. Set up the PlatformIO project in VS Code for the ESP32 and mapped out all the GPIO pins for the joysticks, the 5 toggle switches, and the 3 potentiometers. Got the CRSF protocol running and added the I2C setup for the OLED screen to display altitude, speed, RSSI signal, and battery level. Lastly i pushed everything to GitHub. Shoutout to AI when the code started bugging it was my last help :) Next up: Waiting for funding to get the hardware parts ordered and start assembling the physical controller!

Devlog Drone Controller Day 4: Today i made the first Design for the Model (Idk how i feel about it). I made more progress than yesterday and im getting close to making it work.

Devlog Drone Controller Day 3: Worst Day by far today i coulnt do alot. I figured out which parts i will be using PS2 as Joysticks, R-0904N-L-24KS as Pots, MTS-102 as the toggle switches. I was stuck on figuring out just use jumper female female as connectors but now im back to soldering (im not that good at it). Overall i almost did nothing and i hope tmr will be better again.

Devlog Drone Controller Day 2: Full PCB Routing Complete(Maybe Change ill change it abit later)! I Forgot to list what the controller will be able to do. Motor Management: Mapped out 3 custom potentiometers for individual motor power limits (Motors 1-2, Motors 3-4, and Master control). Controls: An OLED screen displaying altitude, speed, signal, and battery, 5 toggle switches (Arming, Motor Arms, Landing Gear, Finder Buzzer, Auto-FM). Status LED: 3 status LEDs for visual feedback on landing gear state, arming status, and radio connection.

Devlog: Drone Controller Day 1 Today I finished the schematic for my drone controller. The ERC cleared with 0 errors. Im super proud of this project as its only my second custom Schematic. Next Up: Drone Controller PCB
