Finished up the draft firmware, I caved and used AI because this is literally my first time coding in python ever, I only used AI for debugging and adding some of the motor stuff, I wrote most of the YOLO code myself. I also added the wiring diagram and the wiring diagram Fritzing file as well. I now just need someone to take a look at my project and give me some feedback wink wink

Worked on some more coding and got literally nothing done, I’ve stagnated in the coding process. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF ANYONE HAS USED YOLO BEFORE, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DRAW A FREAKING CIRCLE. I might have to resort to being a chud and using ai for pretty much all of the code(haven’t used ai so far) because this is my second time EVER coding and its in a different language. I’m so cooked vro, please comment I desperately need help

Started working on the firmware, sorry for the late update, I thought I didn’t have to do the firmware yet, so I was just waiting for my project to get reviewed, and then I found out I needed firmware, so here I am. After 6 hours of creating a yolo python script, I am finally halfway done… I have to connect the script to some sort of microcontroller and then make it be able to use dc motors

It’s been a while. I worked on some more CAD for the hackpad as well as finally setup the PCB properly with more switches and an oled screen. I’ve kinda been neglecting this and have really only continued this for the sticky streak, but yesterday I realized how much work I’ve put in and how close I am to finishing, so here we are. I’m almost done with this and my next update will (hopefully) be my last(in terms of design).

IM DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finished all of the CAD, BoM, Concepts, and the README(except for coding and physical assembly)! All the CAD files have now been set-up so there are 3-D concepts of what the ToolKit Car is supposed to look like! I also made sure there were extra files of everything, that’s ready to print right away! I also learned how to use Markdown for the README.md! The BoM is now updated with all of the parts and everything that will be needed! Go check out the github for more info! Thanks to everyone whose been following along!

ALMOST DONE!!! I did some more CAD and got the main system all figured out, as well as making it a lot smaller. I realized that the motors I would be purchasing would come in a pack of 4, and I was only utilizing three, but with this new system I can use all 4! I should be able to submit the project for funding by tomorrow! I’ll try to post more thorough and frequent updates once I get to the building process. Thanks @AStarCoder again, I did end up using the spokes for the wheel! (The design looks a bit goofy, but I’ll be able to touch it up later).

Worked on some CAD for the esp32 housing. I finished(almost) the part the esp32 will go on, now I just need to add some screw holes for it and it will be done. All I have left for CAD work is to just model the motors and how to mount them, then I can get started on parts and everything.(forgot password for onshape, so heres a random pic of my dog.)

Did some more CAD. Figured out a new rail system using a spool with some string to move left and right and the rails from before to move up and down. If anyone has made a rail system before with the two degrees of movement let me know.(also this devlog only logs 30m because I lost a 1hr session in the whole hackatime downtime)

EDIT: hackatime got fixed

Ship

This is my first ever shipped project, so it may not be too polished, but it still (somewhat) works! This is also my first time ever coding in JavaScript, so bear with me for the code.

What Aerox is for is when anyone using Slack that sees someone who is talking about their new, interesting project, but they don’t put any links, or other information, then you can use Aerox to find their Stardance account. All they would have to do is simply ask aerox by typing in /aerox and then type in the Slack username of the person they want to find Ex) /aerox kaiak Aerox would then output a link to their Stardance account like so, https://stardance.hackclub.com/@kaiak . If you are actually interested in the code then go check out the github! If this is your first time seeing me, then go check out my other projects! I post pretty regularly so expect updates for my next projects very soon!

CADCADCADCADCAD, worked on some more CAD for the toolkit(no longer)car. I’ve decided to pivot to a rail system much like the rail system Michael Reeves made for his surgery robot. I also am no longer using old hackpack parts as it’s not very easy to source the parts, so if anyone wanted to copy this, they wouldn’t be able to without already having a subscription. The rail thingy will now use a esp32, couple motors, and a camera module. Thanks to @AStarCoder for the advice and sorry I didn’t use it.

I finally did it!!! Aerox is now fully functional! For those of you who may now just be seeing this Aerox is a slack bot that allows you to type in anyone’s username from Slack and create a link to their Stardance account within Slack! This is my first ever major coding project so it has a few flaws. Check out the github for more info and check out my account to stay updated on my future projects!

Got the bot to finally run after having to restart because my files got deleted. Working on adding more commands now(whenever I add the commands they just don’t work), hopefully I’ll be able to finish soon.

Did a little bit more CAD for the toolkit car. I was originally going to use wheels from another hackpack, but figured it would be better if the whole car was 3-D printable, that way anyone could copy this with a little bit of glue, filament and a printer. I wasn’t able to finish designing the wheel yet, as I still need to make those little grip things you always see on wheels. I still need to figure out how to do that, but if anyone knows how to, please let me know(I’m using Onshape btw).

Did some more CAD for the hackpad and finished the PCB. I might add more later, but don’t know how to do it YET. So far I’ve finished the basic parts of the case and added some stuff from ultrakill(hoping to use it to swap guns quicker). If anyone thinks I might be doing something wrong, feel free to point it out. I’m still pretty new to this, so any help would be very appreciated

Been working on hackpad while I wait for some of my stuff for my other project to finish printing(check it out on my profile). It’s my first time designing a pcb, so most of my time was spent figuring out the software and stuff.

I’ve been working on finishing some CAD I started for this project. I just got the motor casings(test version) done and they are now printing, I also found some casings online for a ultrasonic sensor, but I think I might just make my own since most of the casings are for different versions of the sensor.
