Devlog: 07,

So, I know that I suck at designing, still in this devlog I designed more assets for the game because my designer friend is unavailable. So, I created new elements and Backgrounds. I replaced the winner and loser scene’s old background to a newer one. Then I exported the project and published it again in itch.in

Devlog: 06,

So, my project requested a change that the assets in my game which were made using ai must be changed to original or any assets on the internet. So, in this devlog I created some new abstracts on my own And also found some on the internet

*I am bad at designing pixel art.

Devlog: 05,

In this devlog, I first begin with creating two new scene that is for the loser and winner page. I created one of their background in the last session so now I made another background. Then I added the elements I wanted to add and customized or perhaps designed it according to my desire.

After finishing the winner and loser scene and writing their code, I ran a test which showed up an error it took a while to figure out the problem as I do not know gd script very well. I turned out to be location of a file error which the code was unable to find but I fixed it.

After That I ran a final test which was good. So I proceeded with the guide in the stardance. I exported the project, downloaded a preset of WEb, created a file known as “exports”, and then compressed it. Then It was time for publishing.

Finally to Publish, I registered into itch.io and upload a new project, selected HTML option, other settings, and finally PUBLISHED THE GAME .

At Last, I wrote the README file and Pushed all the change that I made to the GITHUB repository.

That’s All.

Devlog: 04,

Today, I first begin by creating or perhaps I should say editing my 3rd minigame, it took a while to decide the new minigame but I selected this. I was first trying to make it functional by adding animation but it did not work so I did some research I figured out it must be edited, not animated. So, I wrote the appropriate program and IT WORKED!!!

Then, I begin making a background for the death/loser scene. I used Paints 3D for this. I first downloaded some elements from the internet. Then I individually added them edit. I designed it like whatever came to my mind, there is nothing much to talk about it.

Personally, I is a very different project that whatever I have created before. Perhaps, It it the first game that I created EVER.

That’s ALl.

Devlog: 03,

In this session, I wanted to make a New MiniGame [3rd]. So, first I started with extracting some elements from Paints 3d. I basically downloaded some pixelated images from the internet and cropped the elements out of it i,e, A Spacecraft, Some Meteoroids, & few Satellites . Then I began creating the minigame. In the godot console, I created a new scene and progressed making the game. I also began writing the appropriate program to it so it could sync to the game smoothly. Although it is not finished yet, it is expected to be finished by the next devlog.

That’s All.

Devlog: 01,

This is the beginning, I downloaded GODOT Engine and started a new project named Static-Space. It is a WarioWare-Style, Space Themed game.

I begin making the very Main page of my game. Using the help of the on board guide on Stardance I progressed with my project. I made amazing [do not judge] looking character, elements, & blocks. I the with the help of guide , programmed the Main page to be interactive. It was a easy program, I understood it in a moment. Image: 01.

I then created a Timer Page [a waiting page between two minigames]. I added some special elements to maintain the uniqueness. Speaking on which, the triangular patches are actually lives of the player. Then I proceeded by adding the program. Of Course, it did not work, I started researching and customizing the program to fix it. When it seemed to work fine I proceeded. Image: 02.

Then, I created MiniGame 1 & MiniGame 2, I would not tell about it much because it is good to have suspense. You must play the game to find out. Of Course, I face a lot of difficulty to make them work as their default program did not work. Perhaps , it was not suppose to work at all so that we can learn and find it out ourselves. To those who made this guide, it worked out really well. The Image of MiniGame 1 & MiniGame 2 are not provided.

Pages Created:

  • Main Page
  • Timer Page [a waiting page between two minigames]
  • Mini Game 1
  • Mini Game 2

Ship Changes requested

I made a 2-Dimensional LED Matrix Display using White LEDs Microcontroller and other components. I face difficulty perfectly assembling the project and getting it to work perfectly. This project tested my skill, knowledge, and dedication and help me improve a lot in my journey. Especially my soldering skills. It was a really great experience and will be a major part of my journey.

In this devlog,

I finished writing my code and after verifying it I uploaded the code in my microcontroller [ESP32] after that I plug in my display to see if it works. At first, the 2nd col LEDs and the 4th col LEDs does not seem to work. Perhaps, it was my bad soldering skills. So, I started looking for leaks or I should say bad circuits. After some fixing, It seem to be better but still the 2nd col LEDs and a 4th col 4th row LED did not work. So using my multimeter continuity I eliminated some more troubleshooting and it finally worked like fantastic.

I updated my Readme and Github and I think it is ready for submitting.

In this devlog,

Finally, the hardware is done. I took a lot of patience and troubleshooting to get this right. I must confess, the soldering is not the best but it is under progress. I begin writing code for microcontroller in the Arduino IDE which I forgot to take the screenshot of.

Done

  • Assembling
  • Soldering
  • Circuit verification for troubleshooting

Under Progress

  • Writing Code
  • Updating GitHub
  • Testing
  • Finalising

In this devlog,

So, It has been long since I last worked on this project. So, working on this gives me a long feeling. I suppose, this project has taught me a lot. Any way, I continued the assembling work and almost at the end. Made some minor file updates and also added a BOM.file .

Done

  • BOM.csv
  • CAD.file
  • Assembling [Almost]

Up-Next

  • Code.ino [ArduinoIDE]
  • Testing

In this devlog,

I was planning to finish my soldering but it went wrong. Here’s what happened, I bought enough soldering wire for my project[The last picture below] and was ready to finish all the soldering work of my project. As I was working through, the worst thing happened, my Soldering Iron BROKE [the Tip]. I guess this project is gonna take long time.[There is a picture of Broken Tip too.].

That’s all.

In this devlog,

I continued my work by soldering the rest of the led’s pins[i.e. anode, cathode]. I did the best I can still I made some mistakes. Perhaps, I am still a beginner.
Now,

  • Soldering [About to finish, Last phase]
  • Circuit [Checked]
  • Microcontroller [Yet to program]

That’s All.

In this devlog,

I started to solder all the components which I assembled in last devlog.

  • First, I soldered all the anode pins of individual leds
  • Secondly, I started to solder all the cathode pins of all the individual leds
  • Then, I started to connect[solder] the anodes pins to make columns, that when my soldering wire ran out. Perhaps, I must have a good stock of it.

That’s All

The Beginning

So to start, I went with the tutorial project to learn some features about HTML and how to build a web page. I learned the basics of HTML and Tailwind. After that I connected my github but for some reasons I faced difficulty selecting the right repository, perhaps I am a beginner. I spent a lot of time to find out how to connect hackatime, github, VSC and how to use all of them.  I proceeded with updating my github and finding the bug and after some research and updates I completed my setup of VSC, Github desktop, Github web, hackatime and all other procedure. perhaps I am ready to proceed to customize my website at my will. I went to VSC and started making My Website, I used open source to learn a lot about HTML and still learning.

Finalising Website design and README

I finalising with[I suppose] a retro theme. I learned about how to approach HTML and use Tailwind css for styling. During editing my code I faced a problem, With no cause to some extent my preview was not always worked. perhaps it was just an preview extension error but after some research it was fixed too. I also updated some details in the README amd organised it as best as I can. And the main work was of course in the website It took a while to figure out each tag’s function, how to use a tag where to use a tag, different tags alternatives, and what not to use. My website maybe absolutely simple but what I learned and experienced was always above. After the editing was done of both website & README I saved the file. Then I used my GITHUB Desktop to push the updates to my GITHUB page and then at the end I used Github for the deployment of my site. Enough said

In the devlog,

I add the other components which were not added in the previous devlog. I was confused between two resistors about their resistance so I just calculated it. I had a little trouble getting the components in the right place but I figured it out. So, this is how it looks till now. I think will work on the programming the microcontroller or maybe soldering the components in the next devlog.

In the devlog, I got all the components required and started the assembling process. Unfortunately I had to check all the leds before using them and turned out some of them were fused. I still have to solder everything and also code the esp32.
