CatOS is live! A fully working WebOS 1 made for Stardance, featuring cute cats, a notepad and a welcome screen. The project is live on Github Pages.
It was pretty doable, but it took some time. I barely used AI, only for debugging specific logic, but the main CSS/HTML is handwritten by me.

CatOS is done! The app now fully works, has three apps (new is a notepad, which you can write in. It does not yet save, so upon closing a tab (not minimizing) you’ll lose the notes. I’ll add save/load in WebOS 2). The app feels really smooth. Go check it out on https://catpowerz.github.io/StardanceWebOS/

Once you got your WebOS framework done, making new windows isn’t even that hard. The second app on the desktop is now a picture of my cute cat named Pixel :).
I also polished a bit (by making windows spawn randomly) and got ready to make the third and final app for WebOS 1, a notepad.

I now have a welcome window ready. Basic functions, like open/close, minimize, and fullscreen now work. Also topbar and bottombar work.
You can drag the window btw ;)
Now I’m thinking to add a photo of my cat Pixel and a notepad. I already configured the buttons.
