I FINALLY, FINALLY managed to finish the Pybricks firmware-fork in order to upgrade limited storage size of 512 bytes to 8 kilobytes. This allows longer programs to be stored on the flash without needing a computer attached. I also fixed some annoying problems with btstack, which is apparently a seperate github thing, or so I thought? I’ll find what the problem actually was. Fixing it was mostly time consuming trial-and-error.
This is CatBot, a 24/7 Slack Bot live now with three commands! Get motivational quotes and tips based on your command. Setup is easy. Even better, you don’t need to set up at all! It’s already live on my personal VPS and is running in the Hack Club Workspace on Slack.
AI (Gemini) was barely used, just to verify and confirm safety around API keys and environment variables.

Slack Bot is now live! You can now command /cat-quote, /cat-focus and /cat-boost to get a quote returned. No parameters required.
