I built like one or two 2d godot games, decided it was time to throw in a new dimension!
Organised the coins properly, along with having the winscreen logic and everything. Also have the red lasers the killing logic, as before they just did nothing.
Made a like part where there are these scary red lasers going up and down, you have to like move your character. Also started working on the finish line, wanted to make it like very very minimalistic to be funny kinda, all that for a single flag. Will start polishing and implementing finish logic.
Added a new level kinda, with the moving platforms. As well as checkpoint 6. But then I realised that the checkpoints looked kinda bad, and the platform were signalling the checkpoint anyways, so I hid the block with the checkpoint logic, and the logic still runs despite being invisible, making the overall game look much better
Worked on 2d godot project conces of twice. But decided to add another dimension to it! Now I’m making a 3d platformer. Used the kenny starter kit for assets, making some myself. It was fairly similar to the 2d experience, just everything was 3d. The camera moving feature was very cool. The only reason this devlog is so long is because I was originally planning to ship it to something else, before deciding on stardance
