I am building a Macropad to work like a keyboard.
I needed to test the screen so naturally, the first thing that came to mind is bad apple. It took sooo long to get that to work but eventually I did it! It used to only work with a companion running and that was a hassle to figure out, then I just had to run a command (I didn’t want to run a command though) so I fixed that too. Now it plays with a click of a button! Also, when it plays the song plays on my computer (there isn’t an actual speaker on the macropad). Next up, testing my LEDs!
I’ve soldered all my components down, but I finally began testing everything out. So far, everything works (except for my rotary encoder because I accidentally bought one that doesn’t click). Currently, the keys are mapped to letters of the alphabet, the rotary encoder controls the volume, and the screen displays some letters.
