Each person has its own beginning and an end, but no one knows when their final moment will come. Each decision shapes the future. Inside every person, there is a shiny star shining through their life. As long as hope remains, the star burns brightly. When hope is lost, the star slowly fades into darkness, turning positive energy into dark energy. Throughout the adventure, the player makes meaningful choices that determine the path they take. Each right decision rewards a Gem, and a Gem contains a hidden letter. Collecting all gems reveals a secret word that unlocks the game's true ending.

Ship #1 ✨ Blessed

A thrilling story-based decision game where every choice shapes your path–and where you’ll need to piece together a hidden word to unlock the true ending.
Each person has their own beginning and an end, but no one knows when their final moment will come.
Every decision, every step you take is going to shape your future.

People surrounding you don’t just affect themselves; they influence the people they meet and the world around them.

#DEVLOG 5
Welcome to my final devlog!
Today, I focused on finishing the conclusion of the screen. I created two different endings just to make the experience more fun.

🛠️ What’s New:

  1. Added the final chapter with two different story ending
  2. Adding sound effects to improve the overall expereience
  3. creating canvas to 400 x 800, so it can be play on the mobile device. Although the canvas might be small when people play on computer, this size allow the game to work across all devices
Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I hope you will enjoy the game.

Devlog #4:
Welcome to my fourth devlog!
This week, I focused on developing the next three chapters leading up to the ending of The Last Star.Over the past two days, I have been working on these final chapters. I’m happy to say that I have finished writing the ending and created the snake game that appears in the story.I have also been working on adding arrow controls to the snake game so that players can enjoy it on iPads and mobile phones more easily.
🛠️ What’s New

  1. Created the final three story scenarios.
  2. Finished developing the snake game using p5.play, instead of relying mainly on CSS and JavaScript.

🔮 What’s Next

  1. Finish the conclusion and polish the final chapters.
  2. Add more features, including sound effects and images, to improve the overall experience.

Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I’m hoping to ship the project in the next devlog. Stay tuned!

Devlog #3
Welcome to my third devlog!

Today, I focused on developing Scenarios 2 and 3, with a strong emphasis on creating fun and engaging minigames to make the gameplay more exciting. These scenarios continue to build on the player’s choices, with successful decisions rewarding Gems that bring them one step closer to uncovering the game’s hidden ending.

🛠️ What’s New

  1. Created two new minigames:
–A collection game where players gather items while avoiding obstacles.
–A maze game that challenges players to find the correct path.
  2. Developed the story scenarios for Chapters 2 and 3, where the player’s decisions determine whether they earn a Gem and continue uncovering the secret word.
    🔮 What’s Next
  3. Develop the next minigame, inspired by the classic Snake game.
  4. Complete the story scenarios for Chapters 4 and 5.

Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I can’t wait to share more progress with you in the next devlog.

Devlog #2:
Welcome to my second devlog:
I’m currently working on making the game more exciting, engaging, and fun to play. While deploying Every Bite Counts, I ran into issues with some parts of the project. As a result, I decided to rework the project and rename it The Last Star.
Although the main storyline will be different, the core gameplay and overall layout will remain the same, allowing me to reuse most of the existing layout code.
Throughout the adventure, the player makes meaningful choices that determine the path they take. Each right decision rewards a Gem, and a Gem contains a hidden letter. Collecting all gems reveals a secret word that unlocks the game’s true ending.
🛠️ What’s New

  1. Create a New Story Line
  2. Working on the first 3 screen, mainly the starting screen
  3. Screen in 400 x 800 px so it can be suitable for all device, phone as well
    🔮 What’s Next:
  4. Creating first chapter screen
  5. Creating first minigame based on first chapter
Thank you for following the development of The Last Star! I can’t wait to share the game’s progress with you.

Devlog #1:
Welcome to my first devlog:
The game I’m developing is called Every Bite Counts.
It is a story-driven educational game about food waste and junk food, encouraging players to make healthier and more sustainable choices.
The inspiration for this game came from one of my previous concepts, Escape Cave, which explored themes of hope and despair, light and darkness, and the difficult choices people face. While this new project has a different setting, it continues the idea that our choices have meaningful consequences.
link:https://theodora-sin.github.io/Esacpe-Cave/
The main motivation behind Every Bite Counts is the huge contrast between malnutrition and obesity around the world. While many people have access to more food than they need and waste large amounts of it, millions of others do not have enough nutritious food to live healthy lives.
🛠️ What’s New

  1. Created two playable characters (one boy and one girl) so players can choose who they want to play as.
  2. Designed the start screen and the first school cafeteria scene, where dialogue introduces why many students prefer junk food over healthier meals.
  3. Started developing the first mini-game, where players have 30 seconds to catch healthy foods while avoiding junk food. At the end of the game, players are presented with educational facts about healthy eating.
    🔮 What’s Next:
  4. Create the second story scene, set on the street, along with dialogue introducing food waste in the local community.
  5. Design the second mini-game, which will focus on food waste (the exact gameplay is still being planned).
  6. Continue expanding the story and adding more educational facts throughout the player’s journey.

Thank you for following the development of Every Bite Counts! More updates will be coming soon.
