My Personal site!

I’m finally done with my personal website and I just finished up the README. It was kind of complicated, but I was able to finish things up! This is just a little snippet, but there’s more to it below.

I basically to a long break from coding and didn’t write any dev-logs for any of the work that I did, but now I’m basically done with my website. I fixed up all the bugs that were present through out the code and website. I also finished my contacts page just now, so all I have to do is review over everything and make a new read me.

Devlog - 6 Today and yesterday, I decided to change up my about me page because it was looking too plain. I decided that I will add a button next to my OC and when you click it, the information about me will appear. I’m also planning on adding an audio file that will play when you click on the button. The audio file will read out the words in the text box. I changed the background of the page too. I did come across a problem though, no matter what I tried; the button is there, but when click it; it just disappears and no text comes on. I will work on this problem tomorrow.

Devlog - 5 Major work completed today! I finished the Interests Page on my personal website over the course of 2 days. (I forgot to write a devlog and commit yesterday). I was able to add a “Favorites” section where I would list some of my favorite things. I also created a “Hobbies” section which has photos of 6 of my hobbies. I did come a across a problem where changing a part of my code (the div) accidentally changed the box on another page. Once it looked good on one page, it changed everything opn the other because I forgot to label which page the box was in. I was bale to solve that problem by creating some new code for my about me page. Finishing the hobbies section wasn’t that hard beause I just had to add some photos and make sure they form a grid. Overall, very productive day.

Devlog - 4 Today was a very productive day because I finished the About Me section of my website. I was able to add an image of my OC which was created by my best friend. I also added a div which would house the information for the about me section. I was having trouble adjusting the appearance of the content inside the div, but i was able to fix it with a bit of research. Another problem that I came across was changing the background because my code space was acting up whenever I’d input the URL for the image. I was also able to fix that problem, but I don’t know how I did it. Next up, I’ll be working on my interests page and tweaking my code up a bit more.

I forgot to post a devlog yesterday. I made huge changes to my personal site, especially with the homepage and changed a lot of things up with the about me page. My homepage background looks great as well as the title. I added a navigation bar at the top that will take you to either the about me, interests, or contacts page. I was experimenting with the second page because I wanted there to be a split screen with one side have my oc and the having the info.

It’s been about 2 weeks since I picked up my personal site, but now I’m back into the flow. Today, I decided to change a bunch of the looks for my site because it was looking too plain. I’ve decided to make 2 different pages: 1 homepage and 1 page that will house information about me. I changed the backgrounds of both pages, but couldn’t really finish, so I’ll pick it up tomorrow. I’m trying to make the pages more space themed to match the vibe. The background images are photos of outer space (one even from NASA). I will begin working on my homepage to include directions that will lead towards the About Me page. Tomorrow’s work mostly consists of CSS and making the site look appealing. :P

Today, I started working on a Personal Site which I begun during a Stardance workshop. This is my first time coding and trying to create a website so it’s a bit basic. I used index.html and CSS to build it. This is the first version of my personal site. :D
