Simple PID-controlled self balancing robot
Simple PID-controlled self balancing robot
I find the Onshape CAD as hard and couldn’t progress a lot – but i did learnt some basics
Have to work on the Robot’s CAd again from scratch
Added all the components into schematic and with some help of chatGPT, wired eveerything
The schematic is almost done – moving on to the footprints phase
Schematic DONE ✅
Learnt basics of CAD
Did a very basic 3d model in Tinkercad – planning to use AutoCAD and thus, no further progress for now
Added the basic components into the schematics – Esp32, MPU 6050, Battery, Switch, Stepper motors
Also researched about Motor drivers such as L298N, TMC 2209 and etc..
It took way longer than i thought but i connected some pins too while doing this
Added basic components in kicad
Very basic 3d model done in Tinkercad
We are going to work on the Self-balancing robot with PID control loop
I have started by creating a new project in Kicad
I added some connectors for battey and switch
But then, we decided to switch the work (From now on, i will handle the mechanical design and he would do the electrical design)
So, i’m gonna use tinkerCAD as it is free.
I started by importing the stepper motors and wheels into the design
I tried to model the head – to make it modular – easy to change and customize
I just made a rough sketch – but my idea is to make the design more modular…!!
So, stay tuned for more updates - lol
