This is a WebOS I created to showcase my personality, achievements, and interests. It has three basic apps: an interactive Mission Control progress app, a blog-type Notes app, and an app with links to my favorite albums.
I learned to use local storage, specifically I am using it so that if the user reloads the WebOS, the Progress Bar stays updated and the checkboxes stay checked. I also learned what it means to parse. I was using AI to help me understand local storage and it’s lowkey late at night right now so it took me forever to understand this very basic concept… whoops. But it’s ok ultimately I learned how to do it!
I coded an interactive to-do list for myself that updates a progress bar, as well as a simple app that has links to my favorite albums.
I finished coding a notes app that I’m going to use almost as a blog for my friends last night. I need to start my Mission Control App, which I’m planning to be a progress report on my goals so my friends can keep me accountable.
In the process of creating my own personal Web Operating System - it’s kind of been a struggle because I’m a beginner but it’s been fun personalizing it so far!
