This is a WebOS I created to showcase my personality, achievements, and interests. It has 4 apps: an interactive Mission Control progress app, a blog-type Notes app, an app with links to my favorite albums and my favorite songs on Spotify, and a settings apps that allows the user the change the theme of the WebOS.
I added five new features to my WebOS: 1. All the clickable images now grow in size when hovered over. 2. The two images of myself are now linked to my resume and my Github. 3. I’ve added new entries to the Notes App and the Mission Control App. 4. I’ve added a settings app that changes the theme (font, text color, background image, topbar color, window background color) of the WebOS to different Taylor Swift Eras. 5. The theme and the missions on mission control all save to localStorage.

I think I’m ready to ship this, I added my favorite songs in the Favorite Songs app. I also made the theme be saved to localStorage, and the windows become a certain color when you choose a theme. The themes are now more readable because I added a background to them. I also updated the Notes app and the Mission Control app with some new entries.

I just finished creating a settings app, and you can change the theme of the WebOS, which will change the background image, the font and color of all of the text, and the color of all other aspects. Next I want to save the selection to localstorage. All of the themes are based on Taylor Swift albums because she is my favorite artist!!

I learned to use local storage, specifically I am using it so that if the user reloads the WebOS, the Progress Bar stays updated and the checkboxes stay checked. I also learned what it means to parse. I was using AI to help me understand local storage and it’s lowkey late at night right now so it took me forever to understand this very basic concept… whoops. But it’s ok ultimately I learned how to do it!

I finished coding a notes app that I’m going to use almost as a blog for my friends last night. I need to start my Mission Control App, which I’m planning to be a progress report on my goals so my friends can keep me accountable.
