A simple AI assistant using ESP32-S3 and the Google Gemini API. (Most of the work was done before I entered Stardance.)
Code has been updated to use the Gemini Live model specifically designed for back-and-forth voice interaction. This allows for smoother responses and more consistent output. Code & docs are at: https://github.com/smitamw/esp32s3-assistant
I replaced the old system of 2 models with a new system where the desktop assistant only uses a single Gemini Live model. This results in faster response times and higher API call limits. You can find it at https://github.com/smitamw/esp32s3-assistant. (The image is unrelated.)
This is the initial ESP32-S3 assistant project that I created before I joined Stardance. It consists of an ESP32S3 board, an extension board, a momentary pushbutton, MAX98357A amplifier, INMP441 microphone and a small speaker for output.
