Hey guys! I have been working on coding a lot of stuff for this project, including integrating the vision subsystem with hardware and have finished the code for the most part. I also made a pid for the platform, and was able to tune it. I hope to have a more comprehensive develog in a bit!! stay tuned
I’m working on assembly and stuff. For trash can capacity monitoring, I designed two pcbs and am working on putting it together.
As a prize for your great work, look out for a bonus prize in the mail :)
Build in progress
Hey!! Haven’t declogged in a while. I’ve been working on software and making some small mods to CAD along with getting everything 3d printed out for mee!!(I’ll assembl and test around 12th-13 so please stay tuned)!! Acrylic pieces are on the way(I messed up my first set :sob). I will devlog soon with some actual pictures 😭
Finally finished up!
Reworked the entire design so that the bins look way better and way easier to remove. The idea is the bins surround the central platform, similar to an industrial trashcan, so that it’s easy to package and remove by just easily lifting. I’m almost done with the CAD, just have to finish some stuff up and I will post. PLEASE ASK ME QUESTIONS OR LEAVE A COMMENT :cry
After way too much time on CAD I figured out a new way to sort trash. The new system is bigger, and has space for four individual pieces of trash. There are seperate slots, each operated by an MG90. With a piece, it fits directly onto the Stewart platform. If y’all have any ideas to make it better, please please comment :sob
I developed a Stewart platform on a rotating turret to sort trash for the first stage of the project. After testing this v1, I found a major issue. Trash with smaller sizes don’t slide off, and larger platforms slide off too fast. If anybody has any ideas, please feel free to share.
