Created “Cosmic Gravity Jumper”- a website that lets you calculate your weight on different cosmic bodies by simply inputting your weight on Earth (the one you measure on a weight machine). It also lets you visualize relative gravitational forces in real time by jumping across the celestial bodies!

As this was my first project, the most challenging bit was definitely learning how to code and how physics and numbers correlate with it. Formatting dynamic physics calculations cleanly while keeping the UI looking fresh, minimalistic and responsive was a pain in the butt for sure. Ran into a lot of problems while trying to make the UI look beautiful. Oh and also incorporating the sounds was tough work! though it might seem quite simple but it was honestly giving me headaches while working on it.

I am really proud of how the end product came out to be for my first ever coding project. I love how you can jump on different planets and the moon and compare that to the jump on the earth. Also another thing im quite proud of is the shareable canvas card that you can download to share on social media. It looks really clean and visually pleasing.

To test the project, you just need to simply enter your weight, pick a unit, click calculate and voila! now you can see what you weigh on different celestial bodies! Click on any of the planets/moon to see how high you’d jump on there.
