FolderContentLister
This is FolderContentLister! A program that does… exactly what it sounds like! You give it some folders, and it will list everything contained inside those folders, and write it to a txt file. This may sound kind of useless, but it’s very helpful for getting a good idea of what you have stored on your computer, especially if you’re thinking of factory resetting: it’s going to be a lot easier to reinstall the important stuff if you have an exact recollection of what you had before. This project also contains some nifty features not present in the original version I made for myself a few years ago, including a configurable depth limit (how deep into the root folders it will search), toggleable size percentages (so you know what takes up the most space in a given folder), and dirChar/fileChar (to spice up the representation of folders and files); to name a few! To use, make sure you have Java 21 installed, follow the simple README instructions, and let the program do its thing! At the end of the day, this is nothing jaw-dropping, but could prove useful for a handful of individuals - and that’s really what open-source is all about. Thanks for reading and enjoy!
