(9/12/2026) huge update! finally finished the case after some unfortunate stressing and embarrassing tears (thought I broke fillet tool..). Added the plate and bezel with colors inspired by the Artemis spaceship. Learning CAD for the first time to create this has been such a great experience.

(9/11/2026) not that huge of an update, but I feel like logging the 2 hours I spent overthinking. Starting to work on the plate. It’s gonna be a sandwich mounting style. All the measurements and scale were confusing me so bad, but I think it’s coming along.

(9/9/2026) beginning the construction of the case! I can honestly say I’m super proud of how it’s coming out so far. I did struggle with learning onshape and I still don’t know everything, not by a long shot, but I def feel way more capable. This is just the bottom half.

(9/7/2026) finally finished up the PCB! i definitely spent way too long overthinking the layout and measurements. When routing started to get difficult due to the order of pins in the schematic, I figured I could switch the order. It got wayyy easier, and I didn´t have to cross as much.

(9/6/2026) current iteration of the PCB schematics, just a few days ago, I knew nothing about PCB design but learning has honestly been so fun! I struggled the most with understanding how to route the rotary encoder. I think connecting the switch pins to the matrix works ? May change it if I recieve feedback.

(9/6/2026) first ever stardance devlog! having to re-learn html and css isn’t exactly great but it was rewarding to finally get some visuals on the page and get a bit of a backbone going. Hardest part was figuring out class and id divs (didn’t realize the difference between . and #), and trying to center them (which I still haven’t figured out LOL) but progress was made!
