Okay I have done the finishing touches. I have added some style to the website. While also making two types of quiz either involving the user guessing a Pokémon’s name or type.
I have finished the Game. From the last devlog I added a background and created a stylized game title. I also finalized the itch.io Page and the Github Read me
Also Excuse my previous screen recordings for the previous devlogs. The screenshot format changed so now the vidoes are zoomed in.
Hello I a want to learn how to use APIs So I am using the PokiApi to make a pokemon quiz. I am almost done with the name quiz, here I have added color and a tryagain and home button
while having my sister test the website. I thought it would also be fun to have users be quized on a pokemon’s type. So I will work on that next
Then I will work on making the website look better
I am Working on Making 10 Question Pokemon Quiz with the Poki API
In this devlog I have created the main mechanic where the user will be provided 10 questions/Pokemon.
If the user is correct they get one point. If they are wrong they get no points.
I also added to where it stops once they reach 10 questions.
Next I will work on the design and look of the quiz.
While also of course removing the pokemon’s name appearing before the user answers
This will be my first time working with an API. SO i followed a Pokémon API. From this I plan on making a Pokémon quiz
I have completed the game. In this video the robot is close to the goal, to show a sped up version of what the full game looks like.
In the actually game I have spaced out the two robots farther from each other.
Theme: Control
Limitation: You are the enemy
For this game jam game where you can control an evil robot. I have worked on the layout of the tutorial level and level 1. I will work on levels 2 and 3. Then I will make the player, robot, and goal sprite. While also making an end screen
For the tiles I am using the “world of Solaria” Free demo Pack by Jamie Brownhill.
This is a game for a mini game jam. Theme is Control with a limitation that “You are the emeny”
the concept is that the player will control an evil robot, that will need to navigate through a maze towards a “good” robot.
Here I have completed the Basic controls
Was busy today so not that much progress was made.
Today I decided to add purple and yellow, while also making a parallax scrolling background.
I am gonna take a short break on this game, so I can look at it with fresh eyes when I return.
My goal when I return is to work on the title screen (title, buttons) and making the game look nicer.
I might also work on sound design
With the break from this game I am gonna try to enter my first game Jam.
I added my own custom sprite for the player and platform (excuse the art I am not a great artist).
I have decided to make my theme related to space. So the player will be a star that changes color.
I still need to fix the look a lot, but I wanted to get it into demo version. I will be sharing this with friends and have them test it out on itch.io.
So far for the game I have added a title screen (start and quit) and high score system. I believe I am done for now with all of the basic mechanics. My goal now is to work on the look of the game (Character, platforms, title screen, etc)
I was switching between making this game a platformer or a doodle jump clone. I have decided to do a doodle Jump clone. Here I have an infinite loop for the platform generation.
I have made it to where the player bounces on a platform when in contact.
Also if the player is not the correct color the scene/level resets
I have completed the player’s ability to change color, based on key input
