I added a random engine cpu load and fixed some of the bugs because before the apps were not opening when I clicked them and the webos kept on reloading because of “high memory use” I think its solved now the problem isnt happening anymore

New update. I modified the stock viewer because before it was a bit glitchy and was overflowing off the screen. Now it fits perfectly fine. One thing though, when I put my new version of the stock viewer it gets the exact same problem so im going to have to look into that and solve it

I am currently working on a drone game. The goal of the game is to collect different packages and earn the most amount of money in a set amount of time. Right now, I have finished working on the world/3d design and next up I will be working on the movement of the drone

Devlog update. I have added 3 new features to the existing webOS. 1. I added a macOS style bottom bar its 1 click to open. 2. I added a widget controler. So when I click on for example clock, the clock widget disappears. Then finally, I added a dark and light mode toggle on the top right of the screen next to the time.

Few changes made to the code and UI. 1. I merged the js and CSS into one HTML file by using a and block. Then, I integrated my stock viewer project into this webOS as an app and a widget.

I created a minimal stock viewer. Normally, I use Yahoo finance for all of my stock viewing and when im looking for what stocks to buy, but Yahoo finance is always so cluttered, laggy and just not really easy to use especially for a beginner like me. So I decided to create a more minimal, less cluttered and frictionless stock viewer. QoL improvements: 1. It is much more minimal and easy to digest compared to Yahoo finance. 2. It's only like 200 lines of code so it is very fast, barely any loading time so I can easily view all of the stocks I follow(with the watchlist). 3. Finally, it's frictionless. No need to go through a home page, search through for your stock and view so many stats. Everything in one place.

Devlog3: I added the last touch of this stock viewer. The search bar. Now, when you search any stock ticker, it should automatically find the exchange and then using trading view api to find the stock information.

Right now only notes and tasks actually does something now. Im not really sure what to do with the others. Maybe add a file explorer/finder to my OS? im not sure why though what will the purpose be and how would I actually make it work. maybe…

I realized that this watchlist is completely wrong. I think I ran out of api tokens and now it’s just feeding bad information. Not completely sure what happened, but now im going to work on fixing it. I have a different project, a stock viewer and it used trading view so I think that I will use that to get interactive graphs and actually good stuff. Im going to directly integrate my other project into this and make it a lot better

Added lap time and ms because it makes it to much better. Before the no ms was so dead, the stopwatch felt weird and off. Lap time is just a lot better and also I added colors!

Ok…I added this stupid song thing because I wanted to get some songs to listen to in this os but I didn’t really know how to get songs into my OS. Maybe I could download music and put it in but it would be a bit weird and need files and not be updated so I just used music from soundhelix. its just looped and its just a API so I don’t actually need to download anything and its faily easy to use.

I added a loading screen to my Wac OS so that I dont have to always click on the folder before actually entering the OS. It makes it feel a lot more premium and just better overall. Now im going to work on different apps in the webos

Devlog2: I’ve created a watchlist for all of my most frequently viewed stocks. It gets saved into local storage so I don’t need to download it. I think im basically done version 1 of this stock viewer.

I don’t really want this viewer to be very cluttered and full of information. Like I said in the first devlog, im still pretty new to stocks so im not sure what exactly I need on the viewer so I think 1 more devlog and then I will be done.

My goal is to create a minimal stock viewer that is easy to view and collect information. Unlike Yahoo Finance, my stock viewer isnt laggy, it’s easy to view stock information and isn’t cluttered. Im not really experienced with stocks, so as I grow more knowledge with stocks I will know what to add, and maybe, in the future this will become what yahoo finance has but is just faster and less minimal.

So far, I have finished working on the graph view on my stock viewer.

Next step is to create a watchlist and a stock information tab.

This is what I got so far for the widgets on the side. It’s a copy of what I actually have. One on the right is the WEBOS and one on the left is my actual Mac
