JUST CODED MY FIRST FAKE OS IN GAME

7 hours in and absolutely zero regrets i created my first ingame OS from scratch. I got desktop icons, windows you can drag around, and a working taskbar. never tried anything like this so it was basically a live speedrun of learning

biggest win: slapped a free Windows 95 icon pack on it and now it genuinely looks like a legit retro OS instead of just ugly gray boxes

also just added a grab mechanic so you can physically pick up objects and spin them around

biggest bug: wasted 20 minutes thinking the click logic was broken :( turns out only the icon TEXT was clickable not the actual image lol

next up: making the whole OS feel cursed. icons glitching out, files changing their own names. 😈
