Currently working on a world speed record rc nitro car!
Also am skipping a few homeworksssss to complete this.

Firstly, I spray-painted the car and then spent a bit of time on improvising the axle mount to house a 696 bearing as well for more freedom. I also assembled the chassis, sadly I couldn’t record it because I was trying to complete it in between my 40 page math project that I was writing. But I will give you full context.I started with the attaching the two chassis plate together with a connector and screwing it in, and then many parts when screwed in, and voila it is ready, It only took about 30 min of my homework time anyway.

I basically switched from onshape to blender FOR TODAY (hopefully), cause for some reason onshape just doesn’t wanna let me edit imported files and also bombards me with the most obnoxious amount of unwanted facetting. I tried to give the tiny details required for the car, but then decided than I will do the changes physically, cause I genuinely DO NOT know how to use blender, I was so used to onshape and now it deserted me :(
I spent the day learning the basics of blender.

This is me with no idea what I am doing —>

I basically tested the tires for any ballooning, and they did not dissapoint, (IDK what I was expecting from that hard of a plastic, after all, I used PLA to print it). I used my old plane’s fuselage as a testing rig, as it literally had everything I needed- A 1800kv motor to reach about 19000rpm, a rigid coroplast frame for me to hold on to the motor, a 2200mah battery, a 30w esc, and last but not the least a servo tester. I ran the wheel, at max throttle, and this is what I found-
1)The wheel design is really rigid laterally (wonderphul)
2)The wheel WILL NOT HOLD ON WITH HOT GLUE.
3)You also can’t forget to balance the wheel, as there are too many vibrations for my liking.

And yes, my dad did hold it when testing, as I couldn’t record and test at the same time.

So, I basically completed puttying the car. For those who don’t know, putty is like a cement kinda thing and “ing” is usually a continuous tense. So that means I was addING(continuous tense) cement-like stuff to the car in the PAST (past tense). I am definitely getting worried if I am going to be able to complete it or not.

I basically, worked on attaching some of the 3d printed parts today, and this is where I stopped at as I also have unfinished homework. I hope to finish building this prototype Porsche by day after tomorrow so I will have a clear time gap to make changes, complete the gearbox aaand ship it. I hope to ship the thing by 20th or else I am COOOOKED(with 4 O’s).

This is a demo website I built, you can visit to know what and how I am gonna be achieving overdrive in an rc car like the one I am building. I also switched from using my own completely custom body and chassis and I realized that I’d rather not do this for 69 hrs straight for the next 67 days, so I chose cormango’s Porsche 911 model that he has already made(IDK how he made it sooo detailed). I am also not going to be copy pasting every single thing he has modelled as It does not have active aero, so I will have to look into that tomorrow maybe. I have also 3d printed half the parts of the prototype Porsche that I am currently going to be using as the body shell.
