Hiii, new changes!

  1. Different Planet Types: these planet types changes their color and radius, the following types are: rocky, gas giant, ice, lava, desert, ocean, toxic, barren, and crystal

  2. Space Objects: added space objects such as: stars, moons, asteroid fields, black holes and nebula clouds

  3. Mouse Movement: now to control the rocket you can use mouse motions

4.UI: now when starting the program a title screen appears

5.Particles: when the rocket moves particles spawn

Bugfixes

  • The gravity from planets far away no longer affects the rocket
  • When the rocket lands no longer gets stuck in the planet surface without the ability to takeoff

Working on

Hello world!
new stuff!!1!1

  1. Randomly generated planets (color, size and position, still not fully random, they are the same 3D Sphere)
  2. Stars! These stars were made using procedural shader functions, basically using a PanoramaSkyMaterial with a shader that generates stars randomly using noise
  3. Chunks, similar to minecraft it just loads few chunks instead of the whole world, in this case the chunks are cubes.

What I’m working rn

  • Polishing the gravity system. The gravity from planets who are far away are still affecting the rocket.
  • Actual random 3D models for planets, it’s just random color and size rn
  • Better movement, the controls are sketchy, i would prefer a dragging and clicking experience rather than the complicated controls
