This is a compilation of 2 logs from last night and today: Log 2, Time Logged : 54 Minutes(got mixed with the previous devlog time) This was just me adding a new window and creating my first app kinda. The guide was kinda funky about it and I had to read it thrice to get anything. But once I got the hang of it, I felt I could do anything and honestly that’s pretty much it. Summary of work: Added a visual app, Created a separate second window, simplified Java functions names. Log 3, Time Logged : 1 hour 32 Minutes I just spent this time trying to figure out how I should prevent the windows from going into the top bar. It took so much work and in the end , Gemini my savior helped me. They should seriously make the guide better cause what in tarnation did I spend 1 hour for? Summary : Fixed a bug regarding the top bar and the windows, Made it that you have double click to open an app
Day 1 : This is my second attempt at this challenge . Last time I tried it the guide made it so confusing I could not complete it. But hey, I’m back! Anyways I followed the guide laid the basic foundation of html and got started on CSS. Due to my prior knowledge on these subjects due to summer camp (thanks jenin), I was able to flow through this rather quickly. However I encountered my first problem when I came across the problem of the background. You see , FlowOS’s entire point is its flow like design and when I put in my image for the background, the image was chopped and repeated over multiple times . Thankfully I had countered this problem before in summer camp(once again, thanks jenin). I solved with a few CSS properties and that is what made it click. Another problem I encountered was with the window screen. The window was not moving even though I entered in the correct JS lines . The guide is not really clear about what you should enter where and it caused me go worrying about a 1 line bug and changing 50 lines of code 3 times. Thankfully Gemini pointed out that **one of the JS lines had the wrong variable and after correcting that, I finally got the panel to move!**So basically here is a summary of what I did in this log : Built the HTML & CSS Foundation, Edited the background, Added my first window, Added a status bar that tells the time and an inspirational quote, Learned and applied using the blur background technique for aesthetics, Added a close and open button to the OS. (Stardance README format for devlog sucks)
Hello, It has been a while, guess what, I finally figured out the README format!! Quick Run down of what happened :
Final note : This project has given me wonderful insight into creating a Slack bot , will do it again but better. and this to the the creators of the Slack bot guide :
Devlog 1 : Setup the app API on Slack and have made the code in Github just as the guide told (they should make it more easier to follow). Now i am just waiting for my application on nest.
Hello, This is the first (and the last lol) devlog of my personal site: I have had some experience in building websites and a few of you might know I am working on a webOS, so …. yeah. This basically features 4 html pages in total. 1 is about me, 1 is about food i eat and make, another is about the projects i have done so far and another one is about my goals for this year. that pretty much it.
