I built MeowMeow
My chaotic little corner of the internet that looks exactly like my bedroom after a 3AM coding session messy, loud, covered in stickers, and full of cats. It’s a portfolio that refuses to be clean or corporate, complete with floating text, a fake music player, project cards for stuff like WebTab and enough Gen-Z energy to make LinkedIn cry. The CSS was the real boss fight getting all the overlapping elements, glitch vibes, hover chaos, and that “everything is slightly broken on purpose” feel to actually work without the whole page collapsing was painful, especially keeping it somewhat usable on phone while still looking unhinged. I’m genuinely proud of how much personality it ended up having; it feels like me instead of another boring template. I made StarDriftOS a personal webOS that runs fully in the browser. It is a single HTML file with no frameworks it has a landing screen and then a desktop you get by clicking “enter my os”. Inside the desktop there are draggable windows for browser,,calculator, camera, hubble gallery, notes, terminal and snake, settings for wallpapers, an orbital clock and a mini calendar.

The challenging part was not the design but fixing bugs. Making windows draggable without jumping, handling minimize/maximize/restore and focus with z-index took a lot of tries. The wallpaper was not persisting at first, notes and snake best score needed localStorage fixes, and the terminal needed proper history and focus handling. Snake had wall and self-collision bugs and calculator needed safe handling. Making everything responsive and making GitHub Pages serve index.html correctly also took debugging.

I am proud that the whole OS works from one file and the window manager feels like a real OS - you can drag, focus, minimize and maximize everything.

shipped it 🕷️ WebTab is live — my browser’s new tab page but it’s got a spider that follows your cursor around, a web that reacts when you get close, and another spider hanging off the search bar that runs off if you click it. built with just html/css/js, no frameworks, deploys itself now too.

deployed it on a real server (Hack Club Nest) so it’s literally always on, even when my laptop’s off 🔥
set it up as a systemd service so it auto-restarts if it ever crashes, zero downtime energy
added an App Home dashboard bc why not have a whole lil UI in the sidebar
set up a scheduled daily quote drop every morning at 9am ⏰
survived actual dev struggles fr: leaked tokens, giant files nuking my git push, invalid_auth chaos, powershell fighting me on everything — learned more debugging this than i expected lol
