Alright!!! my website it ready for shipping! Not all the pages are done but the gallery is up!
Image Map Complete! I am now currently adding my art in my art gallery and I will potentially add my photos next.
Added my first link on image map. I’m having a slight problem on alignment but that just means I need to watch a tut on how to actually do this. I also added some of the stuff back from the first version of the website.
Okay so I reworked the about me section and put up small details about myself. I will be working on adding coordinates on my image map after I’m done with the main page so that there wouldn’t be any conflict (just in case that it turns my html does not care that the image is a separate entity).
I’ve been reworking on my main website layout (since witchyware is out and there isn’t enough space on the page). I’m still sticking to the space concept and I’m gonna try and figure out the script for making tabs. Probably tomorrow night I’ll think of a different header design.
Alright! tonight I worked on the pause button but it needs a lot of debugging. I also had my friends test the game out and they suggested a few things for me to do. Anyways, I’m currently in the works of writing Library of Halcyon and have been drawing concept arts for it. I might start it possibly some time before stardance ends.
Update website
Debug pause button (gotta have it to stop themed timer)
Make a wasd option
I couldn’t find the tut for the mini-game I wanted to make, so I used what I know about gdscript and created this. The player basically has to avoid the witch’s magic in order to make it to the other side. I just finished the code today, but I want to change the tree on the other side into a crossroad sign.
The game is technically done, but it’s not polished yet. I might be able to finish this before the end of this week.
Whew! I finally finished the guide! I now have to look for the tut I need for the third game. Today’s agenda is done except for the player animation.
Anyways, here’s mini game 2.
I finished my first mini-game (hoorayyy!!) I added the soundtracks and more colorful assets into the game. My next goal is to animate the sprites I added in the timer screen and the first mini-game. I have to figure out how to play the animation in-game and not just have it stuck there.
If I heavily lock in, I might finish this before August ends. Anyways, here’s mini game 1.
I finished the title screen and timer screen. I’m proud of my current progress with the visuals and soundtrack. However, somehow the buttons stopped working? It’s weird, I ran at least 5 debugs but nothing showed. There’s probably some weird line of code in the system that’s holding it back, but either way I’ll try to fix it tomorrow.
Lots of progress!!! I finished creating my own soundtrack yesterday and I just implemented it in the game. I’m currently following a tutorial right now on gdscript and pixel art.
I hope I’ll be able to finish this by September!!
DEV LOG 002 - I revamped the title screen and chose the palette and font. I might be able to finish the title screen by tomorrow once I’m done drawing the background. I’m still thinking whether I should add music or not. Either way, this is tonight’s progress!
DEV LOG 001 - ok so I may have jumped into the mission without any planning but I think that’s okay since I’m still starting the tutorial. I think I’ve had enough of wrestling with the code tonight. Anyways, here’s what I’ve done so far. I really gotta work on the design tomorrow.
I’m back! — okay so I updated the website to put concept arts and new updates. I’ve been watching and learning css stuff so that I can make my website easier to navigate. My plan is to separate the sections and the projects…something like that. Then, I’ll add a gallery section and other stuff. — I think I’ll be able to update it once I finish half of the warioware mission.
