Done with both brazier and spinning totem! On to rune rock and then wire paths and electronics.
Done with both brazier and spinning totem! On to rune rock and then wire paths and electronics.
I’m choosing to use a different base, it just looks cooler, and also the other base had all these random strings of internal vertices. Also worked a little on the spinning rune activator/totem.
Added reed switch to brazier, I downloaded a nice blades of chaos fridge magnet, that can be inserted into the top. So hopefully when the magnetic blade gets inserted the reed switch will activate and send a signal to the arduino.
I’m adding a little brazier with a led rune that will turn off when activated, and send a signal to the chest to also turn off one of the lights. Once three runes are activated the chest’s servos will activate and it will be able to open. Almost done with brazier, need to add some more coal on the top.
The chest has a base now! The base is so big it has to split into fourths to fit on the printer bed 😂. It is ~700 grams. I also added indents in it that will fit a breadboard, battery pack, and wires. I’m going to be using a nano on the breadboard. I could just stuff all the electronics in the chest, but then i wouldnt be able to fir anything inside, so I’m just doing this. I also think it looks awesome and I need to add some of the puzzles that unlock the chest around it, so the base is perfect. Got the base off of makerworld - https://makerworld.com/en/models/2679972-rocky-base-plateau#profileId-2967898
made a boulder for the rune puzzles that unlock the chest.
Added a new gold engraving.
It locks now! Will be using mg90 servos that turn 90 degrees, making the lid unable to open.
Added runes! Looks great. Going to be using WS2812B Led rings, and I’m going to 3d print a cover thing for it that will disperse the lighting as it only has 7 leds per ring.
Added hinges and a gold engraving on the top of the lid. Looks great, moving on to head and leds for runes.
Finally progress. I’m not adding scales onto the dragon, but it actually still looks good.
I spent 4 literal hours trying to put scales on the dragon curve. I give up, it will be ugly in blender.
Spent forever making dragon curve thing.
Adding side dragons p1
Added Rune holes to the chest base.
Cleaned up vertice mess. and started adding some stuff.
Started building my 3d printable Nornir Chest from God OF War. Just basic details right now.
