This bot isn't slacking off, it replies to messages 24/7! (the demo link will just take you to the stardance channel to test the bot's commands) edit: i'm sorry, to whoever had to put up with my dumbness during the reviewing T_T
made some finishing changes, and worked out how to get my bot permissions to dm someone
added ai response commands… coz why not 😔
but mainly worked on the reminder command which is rather useful if i say so myself! i did face some problems coz of the bot permissions, but i worked around it :>
i never knew making even things as simple as a weather data fetching service can be so confusing, i had to experiment quite a lot to finally get how to fetch the response from the ai and how to send it the parameters.
Also, I didn’t at all know what JSON actually was till now 💀, so overall, it was a great challenge that taught me about json and how its used to send and receive data from api’s!!
FINALLY I UNDERSTOOD HOW API’S WORK!!! it felt like ages trying to figure out how to request data from the weather api but i finally figured it out! I’ll try to implement it into the bot after processing the data provided by the api :)
finally finished the tutorial! i dont rlly have much experience with javascript or using hosting bots online.. so this felt rlly nice when it finally worked! XD
