What did you make?

I made COCR, the place I really wish I had when I started my own journey.

When I started learning, I didn’t have enough information or anyone to show me where to start. I spent a really long time trying to build my first project or even reach a real result.

That’s when I realized these problems needed a real solution.

I searched a lot for a platform that worked the way I wanted, but I couldn’t find one, so I decided to build it myself.

COCR is built around something I really believe in: students learning from students who are just one step ahead. A student can learn, get help through every step, build their first real project, find opportunities, and use what they learned to apply to competitions and programs.

So COCR isn’t just a place to learn. It’s a place to live the whole journey.

What was challenging?

Honestly, the project became much bigger than I expected.

The idea was exciting, but building it was hard. I had to learn a lot while building, especially things I had never worked with before.

And I don’t want to pretend I did everything alone. I used AI in some parts because of the limited time and to help with the implementation, but that didn’t make the project easy.

We still faced database and migration problems, data connections, permissions, security issues, and flows that looked fine from the UI but had problems behind it. Sometimes fixing one thing caused another problem, and we had to stop adding features and go back to understand and fix what we already had.

The hardest part was learning how to build something that actually works, not just something that looks good.

What are you proud of?

I’m proud that I finally turned one of my ideas into something real.

I’m proud that I’m building the place I needed when I started — a place that can help students start earlier, understand what they need, build something with their own hands, and find their next step instead of figuring everything out alone.

I don’t want COCR to just teach someone a new skill. I want it to actually help change someone’s journey from the beginning.

What should people know so they can try the platform?

COCR is not just another educational platform where you watch courses and leave.

It’s a complete student journey: learning, projects, opportunities, guidance, and actually doing something with what you learn.

When you test it, try the real flows, not just the UI. A big part of the work was making sure the things behind the interface are actually connected and working together.
