A laboratory sandbox that combines raw analytical mechanics with real-time numerical simulation of damped, driven, and coupled harmonic oscillators.

Ship #1 Changes requested

Hello! I made a physics simulator for oscillating systems, called Harmonique. Some challenging aspects were keeping the physics mathematically exact without external engines o. Some examples are integrating heat dissipation directly into the RK4 solver so total energy stayed flat, preserving phase continuity during live frequency sweeps, and deriving the nonlinear cubic buoyancy forces for a partially submerged sphere. I’m most proud that it’s completely zero-dependency (pure vanilla JS, HTML5 Canvas, and procedural Web Audio), runs at a crisp 60 FPS, and captures real analytical mechanics like exact degenerate critical damping and live adiabatic scaling. Enough with these technical things, if you want to know something about the project, please read the READme (probably thats why its called a readme lmao). I introduced a few key commands to pause or toggle the audio (oh yeah I forgot to mention it, I really like the desmos audio graphs and I decided to add the idea here too, you can check it out, I’m also really proud of it :). Thank you for reading. Byee!

2nd Harmonique devlog - Was a quite tough day, but I managed to finish the project. To summarise what I’ve done, I added modifiable settings of the oscillator, two more oscillating systems, experimented a bit with everything to clear some bugs and… yeah thats it. It was a lot of work though, I started planning on what to do today at 8AM and its now 11 PM :3-blahaj-spinning: . Its kinda my last Stardance project so love you all for following me and my projects and uhh… see you in other hackathons :). Byee!

1st Harmonique devlog - Well hello guys, this is my last project on Stardance. Although I’ve started it over a month ago, I procrastinated it too much. Here is the idea of the project!
I wanted to make something where I could experiment with oscillating things (as I have to study oscillations in depth for physics olympiads) I chose a retro style. Up until now I’ve only managed to create the environment and added some physics to the spring. Today it’s the last day on Stardance and I have quite some work to do to upgrade it to a beautiful and cool project that I can actually use in the future! Byeee (here’s a preview of my project rn, still quite buggy tho)
