Roguelite Game - dev log 3
So its been a hot minute since I’ve posted and stuff has happened I promise! tests just suck. I’ve been working on the random selection of the next room a player enters and cleaning up some stuff which is all done now, just need to get the door tile art so the player can actually leave the room… looking at you cleo….
next steps are creating the enemies so the player actually has something to do, but I’m not sure that will be ready before Stardance is officially over </3
Dev log #2!!
I discovered the joys of coroutines and enumerators in C#, so have re-written some of the death event. Now when the player dies the system waits a moment before changing scenes so the death animation can run, which is lovely!
Next up, procedural selection of rooms!! I hope…

Player death event ~ Dev Log #1
This is the first time I’ve tracked on Stardance, however this project is already a couple months into its creation.
I’m making a roguelite with the objective of escaping a dungeon without getting knocked out and caught, else they must start their escape again. However as they make more attempts, their character gets stronger and thus is able to progress further through the game.
This was me just working on the death condition and what would occur when the player health dipped below zero.
