Verse is a web app that finds a song just by a part of the lyrics. It first searches the lyrics you enter and gives back top 10 results. You can then play each song to find the correct one. It’s basically Shazam but with lyrics. I struggled with the APIs but after some time and help from Claude I managed to get everything working. I learned a lot about using APIs, JavaScript and web development in general.

I’m currently working on an app that finds a song just by a part of the lyrics. You can also play the songs it found. First I added the song searching and UI. Yesterday I was fighting with the song preview and I almost abandoned the feature because I just couldn’t get the audio to work but now after 3 hours it finally works. I still need to fix some bugs but it’s almost done and ready to ship.
