What Did I make
I made ButterOS, a lightweight easy to use opertating system powered by html, css, and js.
Apps
This WebOS currently features 8 apps:

Calculator- Calculates stuff -
SimplyEpic- Google search but no ai and only searches academic sites (3 to be exact) -
ButterOS Music- Cloud based music app -
Info- Returns info about the project -
CMD- The butterOS command line -
Notes- The butterOS notes app -
Games- Games iv made along with other ones too -
Settings- Settings for the OS

What I struggled with
Mostly things out of my skill level

I added ALOT of new features including new apps, a new design theme, startup screen and more!, Look at the commit history and devlog history to see all the changes in detail!

not major progress really, just some minor css upgrades, also added a lot of new settings (look at Images)
- enable eurda is a dev tool that allows inspect element without needing to use f12 for mobile
yea not that much really but look at commits for more uncommited changes (between oct 19th and oct 25th 2026)

MAJOR PROGRESS
I made MAJOR progress on the operating system! Including a huge overall of the ui to a gold/rosegold style, you can view the old vs new here

Devlog #7
I mainly fixed bugs during these 3 hours from the past ship
some of these bugs include
- fixing scrolling in SimplyEpic
- opening new tabs from SimplyEpic in a new tab instead of a popup
- fixed the hidden c in the calculator window for smaller window sizes
- ADDED A SAVED TRACK LIST TO MUSIC (FINNIALY)
A lot of the fixes were added with the help of ai (cache music list and hidden c due to it being this out of my current skill level)
Future plans
- WIndow closing and opening animations
- Higher quality bg
- add better styling to the notes app (unfinished)
(ignored the blocked, its just my school mac)

What did I make?
Well I added quite a lot this update, including a cloud based music app, working terminal with a file system, and an app with info about the project!
What are some challenges?
Mainly the file system, it took a lot of time figuring out how caching works.
Overall a solid ship with the terminal being my favorite part!

- Add support with Streamables inorder to build a cloud based music app using stream codes.
- Remake the toolbar from scratch because its not much different from the guide
- add support for connecting to other butterlabs services
