A HackPad that can act as a macropad or a push button hub
Edited symbol references for a cleaner look, and did overall polishing and preparation for production
Completed the first design version by applying example colors, adding numbers above the headers, chamfering the cover, and adding little press fit pins to avoid small screws that would ruin the look of the cover, and to allow easy access to the PCB
Designed levers for the DPDT switches, made case walls shorter in order to make the headers flush to the cover that is not yet mounted, and made the keycaps taller so keys are hidden
Increased the PCB size a bit to add holes for mounting, modeled the main part of the case, and designed keycaps
Revised the PCB size, added fillets, and made the ground net fill the whole PCB
Had to reroute the 2nd layer because of missing tracks
Imported the rest of the 3D models and removed the LED from the MX key model
Slightly rearranged all footprints, flipped the 01x02 socket symbols, and routed all traces
Found suitable slide switches, assigned their footprints, and made an approximate PCB layout
Assigned the rest of the footprints and researched switches that might work for button modes but couldn’t find their datasheets and suitable footprints
Established digital pin nets
Removed all male pins and set up button mode switches along with headers
Gathered most of the symbols and footprints for the project
