I made a personal portfolio website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a Y2K desktop-style interface. Instead of using a normal portfolio layout, the different sections open as draggable windows.
The most challenging part was getting the windows to interact correctly, especially dragging, layering, and making sure everything worked together.
I’m mostly proud of getting the whole interface working and making the site feel like an actual desktop instead of just a regular webpage.
To test it, open the desktop icons and try moving, opening, and interacting with the different windows. You can also resize the browser to test the responsive layout.

devlog 2 (final devlog):
took a while, but I finished, i did use AI but mostly to make up for my lack of artistic ability, in my opinion, it looks pretty good, its got all the requirements in the bag and i got most of the inspiration from this because of this game called ‘Warframe’ (super fun, should check it out if you got time), and no spoilers but somewhere along mid-late game you get a quest where you kinda travel back in time to 1999 and like you get a old crt screen computer from then called the ‘POM-2’ and its interface looked super retro so i took what i liked from it and huzzah, my portfolio, hope you enjoy!.
PS: hit me up on slack if you wanna get into warframe or already play it, i need ppl to play with lol

devlog 1:
started on a portfolio site, got some decent progress, i made it very early 2k/windows 7 themed, it has 1 draggable window, some fake buttons, and some filler text, more will be made.
