Lightweight Queue Management for Events & Service Desks based on Django

Ship #1 Pending review

QDesk is a queue and token management system I built to make the whole token process simpler and less chaotic. The idea came from seeing how manual queues can get during events, offices, health camps and other crowded places, where people have to keep asking what token is being served. With QDesk, an organization can create an event, set up counters, generate tokens, call the next person, mark them as finished, and keep track of the queue from one dashboard. I also added a public display so people can see which token is currently being served without having to stand around and ask. It’s a pretty simple idea, but I wanted to actually build something that could be used in a real situation instead of just making another project for a portfolio. I built the backend with Django and used HTMX for the live queue updates, and after a lot of debugging, I finally got it deployed at qdesk.ggsrclub.com.
