Flapping butterfly watch

Moving away from drafts!
I started working on converting the draft i made (which i made to test the if everything fits) into the model that will be used for the final product. This model is still far from elegantly made, or the “retro futuristic” style i am going for, but it now had the ability to easily be improved into a model that does look elegant! At the step i am now its only included the servo mounts and the holes for the wristband (which is salvaged from some random old watch). Next step: give this semi-elegant version all the function it needs to have!

Making the first draft ready to print: i started out thinking this would be really quick (it still was quick tbh), but adding the attachment for the straps turned out to be a little more work then expected. I thought i set a fair thickness for the walls from the strap attachment, but when i imported it to the slider it was only one layer line thin 😅. So i went back and made it thicker, and then thicker again. The model that is currently printing is a VERY barebones version of what i want to create, it has an attachment for the straps, so i can test if the dimensions i measured where accurate. also for the two servo mounts, i am not sure if the tolerances are right, or if this design will even work, but thats what a test print is for!
