I built Slop Bot :), a 24/7 Slack bot running on a Linux VPS using Node.js, @slack/bolt, and Socket Mode. It serves brainrot jokes, facts, latency metrics, and help commands.
The most challenging part was fixing syntax errors from code formatting, setting up systemd to keep the process running continuously in the background, and making sure the commands had unique names so they didn’t collide with anyone else’s. I’m really proud of getting it hosted on Nest so it stays online even when my laptop is completely turned off!
To test it, run any of these commands in Slack:
/slop-bot-ping - Check latency
/slop-bot-help - View all commands
/slop-joke - Get a random joke
/slop-fact - Get a brainrot origin fact

Working on Slop Bot this is a bot that will reply to you but with slop For example : you -/slop-bot-hello , slop bot - Yo twin, what’s the up. (This is probably not how most people reply put most of this is just perspective wise. So far I just got everything set up so i am planning to add a lot more commands
