I made a personal portfolio website to showcase my work, skills, projects, and experience as a frontend developer. I started with an existing portfolio template rather than building the entire website from scratch, and then customized it extensively with my own content, branding, layout changes, styling, responsive behavior, interactions, and animations. I also deployed the final website using GitHub Pages. The most challenging part was understanding and modifying someone else’s existing codebase instead of starting with a clean project. I had to figure out how the different HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components worked together before changing them without breaking the existing layout or interactions. Making the customized sections look consistent across different screen sizes and refining the animations and interactions also required a lot of testing and iteration. I’m proud that I was able to take an existing template and turn it into something that represents me and my work. I especially like the interactive feel of the website, the visual presentation of my projects and skills, and the fact that I was able to understand, modify, and deploy a project that I didn’t originally write from scratch. The project is a web-based portfolio, so there is no installation or setup required. Simply open the live website and explore the different sections using the navigation or by scrolling through the page. Try the navigation links, buttons, project links, hover interactions, animations, and contact section. Since it is hosted on GitHub Pages, the website can be tested directly in a browser.
