A compact custom mini keyboard featuring four mechanical switches and a rotary encoder. I designed the PCB and 3D-modeled the custom enclosure from scratch, including mounting points and openings for the USB port. The project combines electronics, PCB design, and 3D modeling.

Today I worked on the code for my mini keyboard. I programmed the microcontroller to recognize the four buttons and the rotary encoder and give each input its own function. I also added the logic for detecting when buttons are pressed and for reading the encoder when it is turned. After testing everything, I made a few changes to fix input issues and make the controls respond more reliably.
Today I worked on my 3D chess board and pieces project. I started by creating the basic board layout and designing the chess pieces in CAD. I also worked on the PCB design and began turning the 2D design into a 3D model. I’m still improving the shapes and dimensions, but the project is starting to come together.
