Hotwheel Alarm Clock!

Hardware
  • 3 Devlogs

I am building a Hotwheel themed alarm clock for my BLARE Project! It is a 3 mode clock with time, stopwatch, and alarms.

Waiting on a reviewer. We'll let you know as soon as there's a decision.

Hey! Think looks really cool, I love the case design and the colors. Unfortunately it looks like you didn't lapse your case design or firmware, to correct this you can retroactively journal your progress, you can read how to journal here https://hwdocs.hackclub.dev/journaling/. I also need a BOM, just make a table in your README with the parts you used and the quantity. One weird thing I noticed, there's like a hotwheels logo clipping into your topplate, I don't think it will cause issues but maybe just check that and remove it.

Devlog 3: THE CODE

Hello guys, welcome to hopefully, the final devlog!!!
In this devlog, I finished writing the code for this project.
Code was inspired by other projects in terms of wifi, and I would like to thank the creator of the BEE alarm clock.

Features

The alarm clock has 3 modes, stopwatch, alarm, time.
It can cycle between the 3, and add upto 10 alarms stored in a list.

There really isn’t much to say, i am not super good at code devlogs forgive me.

Devlog #2: The CAD
Slightly long devlog, lets go over it!
For my base, I just used the normal tutorial for the project, since my CAD knowledge extended only to assembling an FTC bot.

After that, I was thinking of a theme. It took me a while to figure things out, and I slept on it. I had a carton of some of the new F1 hotwheels on my table, and I decided to make my alarm clock hotwheel themed!

I got a DXF file of the hotwheel logo, imported and extruded it, then used the boolean tool to etch the logo into the case so it can actually print that way.

What was the hardest part of this part?
The Boolean tool and managing DXF files.
Once I had loaded in the DXF files, it took FOREVER for me to be able to adjust and crop it. There were a lot of stray dots that took a while to get rid of. Luckily, they did not affect final cad.

I also added a phone stand because why not. It prints without supports according to my slicer.

Devlog #1 : The PCB
Hello guys! So I have officially made the PCB!!!
This took a bit off time, i did Kicad before but this was some good practice for me.
I did a basic design with 4 switches for now, might expand later. Thats all!
