My partner and I are building a system that detects a plant's health and moisture levels and sends the data to a user's app to have interactive actions they can do wirelessly through the module. Finished the schematic and made the design electrically sound. However, my partner and I ultimately decided that due to time constraints, case fitting, and sensor exposure, we are going to hand wire the design and mount each sensor individually to the encasement (of which will be 3D modeled and printed from Fusion 360). The schematic is mostly going to be a wiring diagram of where to wire pins together when we get to that point. Looking past Stardance, we do plan to make a PCB in the future.
In addition to this, I made sure to buy all the parts necessary to start wiring and CAD modeling. I also created a final and working BOM for the project.
Worked on building schematic further, down to 3 ERC errors, and finalized any information that will be on the README.
This week, I made a presentation that my partner and I will give to Middle Georgia State University about our project and how it can be impactful in the real world. I also created a baseline wiring schematic (We plan to use a perfboard/breadboard rather than a PCB due to time constraints) so that when the parts come in, we are able to wire everything together. I also started a BOM that will be finalized soon.
