I'm making my very own Steno Keyboard!! (In a nutshell, its a keyboard that you can type over 200 wpm because of the placement of the keys).

Added a 0.91 OLED to display what setting its on, finished the KMK firmware. Very straightforward and not to difficult. I’m pretty much done, just will add some update to my Github repo!

Finished CAD, making it very similar to many of the steno keyboards on the market. I also made a top part which i may or may not add. I also added more holes for M3 Screws

I decided to switch over the the ESP32S2 chip because it has more GPIO pins so I can add another layer of keys for various other functions. Its now going to be similar to the Polygot Keyboard. So it can write both in steno and QWERT.

Very simple case for my keyboard, it connects to the PCB with 5 m3 screws and heat set inserts, with some spacers in between. I made it simple so I can print it in fiberglass so it can really highlight how cool the PCB is.

Update: I figured out how to add the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 and then finished the PCB. Honestly more hard than usual, I had to rewire like 20 times and there were soo many errors. Anyways, I’m finished now! Onto CAD ig?

I’m making a stenography keyboard, basically a keyboard that can type really fast. I started researching and planning. Then I opened up Kicad and started my schematic. Pretty straightforward, but unfortunately I just realized I put the wrong footprint for the Raspberry Pi Pico (I put the chip rather than the whole board). So I might keep it and try to figure out how to make my own. Or just redo it. Wish me luck!
